CENERS-K's mission is to educate the public and state institutions about live issues confronting the Eastern and North-Eastern regions of India, place these on a national canvas, and develop futuristic plans that forecast events, eventualities and options to tackle them. Our objectives cover research, dialogue, publications and capacity-building for young scholars.
CENERS-K members have a wealth of experience in their professional calling encompassing most contemporary issues facing the nation and the planet — with particular depth in the geopolitics, security, development and regional dynamics of the NORTH EASTERN REGION of India and the wider Asian neighbourhood.
No. CENERS-K is a fiercely independent, non-partisan organisation not affiliated with any government body, political party or university. However, we are registered as a Think Tank by NITI AAYOG and the Nett Assessment Cell, and we are in the process of signing MoUs with the Army Institute of Management, Sister Nivedita University, St. Xavier's University, Adamas University, and the China Desk of HQ Eastern Command. We already have an MoU with Nova University of Slovenia.

No. CENERS-K does not take sides or adopt a particular ideology. We are a fiercely independent think tank and do not take commissions for lobbying on behalf of any individual, party or organisation.

Most of our event summaries and reports are published in our journal — The Calcutta Journal of Global Affairs (CJGA), available at globaljournalceners.org. Reports, articles and blogs are also available freely on this website.
